A good marketer these days needs to know how to stretch every dollar to ensure they are getting the most value from their (regularly under pressure) budgets. One way to get more out of your marketing spend is through the use of professional photography. Any event, particularly a coordinated, seven store, province-wide launch takes an incredible amount of planning, organization and attention to detail. In a busy, media-saturated age, it is increasingly challenging for marketers to get their message out and heard above the din and roar of the always on,  hyper-socialized digerati and their many socially networked tweets, status updates, shared links, etc. One cost effective way to get attention is to use powerful imagery that tells your story in pictures. As an event photographer in Montreal I am often called upon to produce these images and I take into account the end use of the photos I am capturing whenever I am covering an event.  Having an awareness of marketing and the need for quality, shareable images that can narrate an event wordlessly is a skill that professional photographers have developed through experience working regularly with PR firms and professional marketing teams. While anyone with a camera phone can document an event, it takes a professional photographer to really tell the story and carry the branding and message behind the event through to intended audience.
